This is a newly formed role, which reports into the Head of Product Innovation. The purpose of this function is to work with the Heads of each product to evaluate ways in which Hiscox can innovate products and essentially stay competitive in the marketplace. The team strategically reviews both internal and external factors and comes up with ways in which the business can grow.

 

The role will be varied and the successful candidate will be expected to work both independently but also have the personal gravitas to liaise and present to senior individuals within the business.

You will self-driven and naturally inquisitive about how the industry works and want to review it’s products in a critical way.

 

An example project could be evaluating pricing and customer requirements within the legal sector. As part of this you might conduct an external survey amongst brokers, looking at retention rates, loss ratios and then conducting analysis to create a report with a set of recommendations to the business.

Requirements

 

– Comfortable working with numbers

– Enjoy handling both quantitative and qualitative data, can take a logical approach to analysing information and draw conclusions from this

– Strong inter-personal skills as there is plenty of internal and external liaising with brokers and senior team members

– High levels of initiative, you will be expected to research topics and obtain reports and data from external sources that you will need to identify

– High intellectual and emotional intelligence

– Preferably student that comes from economics, statistics, politics or analytical/scientific background
